Daily Holes privacy
Game progress, results and preferences stay in this browser. Google Analytics measures site visits; sharing and emailing remain your choice.
Scope and contact
This page covers daily-holes.org, operated publicly as Daily Holes in United States. Updated October 2, 2026. For privacy questions, email contact@daily-holes.org.
Local input processing
Daily Holes processes aiming, club choices and timing inputs locally in your browser to calculate shots and scores. Score images are generated locally too. The game does not send those inputs or saved results to a score server; sharing a result with another app happens only when you choose it.
Browser game data
The daily game uses local storage key daily-holes:game:v4:daily for its active round and results, with a saved course revision. Progress includes the round date, mode, completed holes, current ball and score, and accepted shot input needed to restore an interrupted shot. Results distinguish first and best completions, practice counts and assisted rounds. Recent history retains up to thirty completed UTC dates; streak counters track consecutive completions separately. The course date comes from your device clock. These are personal records without identity verification.
Local storage key daily-holes:preferences:v4 remembers effects, ambience, music and slower-timing choices when storage permits. No account or contact identity is added to game records. Game data is not uploaded to a score server and does not sync between devices or profiles.
Earlier keys daily-holes:game:v1, daily-holes:game:v2, daily-holes:game:v3 and the three-hole preview key daily-holes:game:v4 remain separate. Their scores are not mixed with daily nine-hole results. Deleting current daily-game data removes its progress, results and preferences after confirmation; it preserves older-version and preview saves. An empty coordination record remains so another open tab cannot restore deleted progress. Clearing this site’s browser data can remove all versions and preferences. There is no server backup.
A storage failure warning means the current tab can remain playable, but recovery after leaving cannot be guaranteed. When a browser cannot safely coordinate saves across tabs, existing game records are preserved and new play is limited to the current session. Restarting replaces an unfinished round only after confirmation and preserves completed records.
Result sharing
Copying writes result text to the clipboard only after your action and when permitted. The text includes the date, course version, mode, nine-hole results, total and site URL. If copying is blocked, text remains available for manual copying.
A score image is generated locally in the browser. Downloading saves that image through your browser; opening a device share sheet is also your choice. Sending result text or an image through another service subjects it to that service’s policies. This website does not post a result automatically or submit it to an online leaderboard.
Sound and music
Effects, ambience and optional music are generated through the browser’s audio API after you start play or use an audio control. Music defaults off. Audio controls are separate, and preferences can be remembered locally. There is no microphone access, recorded input, third-party audio service or audio-preference upload. Switching away pauses audio.
Contact email
Emailing contact@daily-holes.org sends your sender address, message and any report details or attachments you include. We use that information to understand and handle the message and any reply. Email does not automatically include your saved game data. Contact messages are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the project mailbox. The email providers also process those messages under their own policies. This website has no contact form.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site visits and improve the website. Google receives page visits and information such as the page address, referring site, browser, device, approximate location and session activity. Its first-party cookies, including _ga and cookies beginning with _ga_, help distinguish browsers and sessions. Browser settings can limit or block these cookies and analytics requests. Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We do not add aiming inputs, club choices, timing, saved scores, game history, audio preferences or contact messages to analytics events. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in this site’s tag configuration. This site has no advertising, login, payment service or external fonts. Game and font assets are served from this site.
Google processes analytics data under its Privacy Policy. Its documentation explains data collection and cookie usage. Analytics property retention settings and reporting availability have not been independently verified. Clearing this site’s browser data removes analytics cookies and game saves; analytics cookies may be created again on a later visit if your browser allows them.
Hosting and external services
The production configuration uses Cloudflare Workers Static Assets for hosting. Requests delivered through Cloudflare may be processed using information such as IP addresses and routing data to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for its explanation of End User data. The game does not create a server score log. Cloudflare’s provider-side request retention has not been independently confirmed.
Optional comparison links lead to other websites with separate policies. Contact provides the project email for questions about this game.
