## Scope

These terms cover the independent game at **daily-holes.org**, operated publicly as **Daily Holes** in **United States**. Effective date: October 2, 2026.

## Daily play and its rules

Daily Holes offers nine holes for each UTC date, selected from eighteen original layouts. A round records its date from your device clock and its course revision. An unfinished round retains both after midnight. Players with the same date and revision receive the same layouts and wind.

Our simplified simulation counts shots, adds one penalty for water and applies automatic putting after a green landing has settled. Each hole caps at par plus five; picking up records that cap. [Rules](/guides/quick-start) explain the controls and score breakdown.

## Personal results

Scores are local personal records, not verified competition results. First daily completions, best results and practice counts have different meanings on the card. Standard and assisted rounds are identified separately; assistance used during a round stays marked for that entire round. There is no online leaderboard, prize, account or score-upload service.

Storage blocks, private browsing, device changes and deleting site data can affect availability. There is no server recovery or device sync. Daily-game records use their saved course revision. Older game and three-hole preview saves remain separate and should not be compared as the same game.

## Free play and independence

Daily challenges and practice after completion are free in this version. This site has no subscriptions or payment processing. It is independent of other similarly named games. Optional comparison links concern separate products under their own terms.

## Sharing and availability

Copying result text, downloading a generated image or opening a device share sheet happens only at your request. The game does not publish automatically. You choose whether and where to send a result.

Gameplay needs JavaScript and a compatible browser. Saving depends on browser storage; audio depends on browser and device playback settings. A failed save, sound or share action does not create an online record or a successful post.
